Haruna Niyonzima returns to AS Kigali after a year and a half.

 Amavubi national team captain Haruna Niyonzima has returned to AS Kigali after leaving the club in December 2019, where he spent a year and a half playing for Yanga SC in Tanzania.AS Kigali announced on Friday, July 30, that it has signed Haruna Niyonzima, its former captain in 2019.

According to Twitter, the Kigali City Team said, “We are pleased to announce that Haruna Niyonzima has joined the team. 

Niyonzima made his debut for AS Kigali between July and December 2019, helping him win the Super Coupe triumph over Rayon Sports on his way back to Tanzania's Young Africans.

His last match against Yanga SC on July 15 will be played on the day he was named by the first division team in Tanzania when he played against Ihefu FC.

Playing for Yanga SC in the last 18 months, this is the second time he has made his debut, in 2011 when he left APR FC.
